Catalogue Paths

For an efficient use of the infrastructure capacity, the IMs build for the freight traffic for the purpose of a pre-construction the so called catalogue paths on their main corridors. These paths are build on a capacity maximising basis and are published in the form of path catalogues 11 months prior to a timetable change according to the requirements of EU directive 2001/14. The published path catalogues are intended as an aid for preparing applications for path requests. An RU is indeed not obliged to request a catalogue path; it may apply also for a tailor made path. The higher the utilisation of a network, the higher the likeliness for an implementation without any conflict if a catalogue path was requested.

RNE and their members offer the path catalogues on a corridor-oriented basis. For the detailed catalogues, please click here.

Tailor - Made Paths

For customised solutions - it is of course possible for train-paths to be tailor-made at your request. The IMs will provide individualised advice and a specific offer.
Path requests
Requests for catalogue or tailor-made paths, the web application Pathfinder or the path request form is at the disposal of the applicants.
New instant capacity path product under development
The freight transport industry requires more flexibility by taking into account the specific peculiarity in the short term field. RNE and its members are currently developing therefore a new product which is substantial shortening of response times for international path applications for short notice transport needs.
