European Infrastructure Charging Information System

EICIS is the European Infrastructure Charging Information System run by RailNetEurope.

EICIS shall give fast information on charges related to the use of the European rail infrastructure network.

Composed as a web based umbrella system for the different national rail infrastructure charging systems, EICIS calculates the price for the use of cross-border train paths within seconds, 24 hours a day - without any charges for the system.

EICIS is calculates charges for:

• train paths
• station fees
• shunting fees

At the moment the system covers 16 European rail infrastructure networks and is enhanced continuously. Around 350 users from 21 countries are taking use of this advanced system, today.
