Members & Network
RailNetEurope had 16 founding members in January 2004. Meanwhile, 19 new Rail Infrastructure Managers and Allocation Bodies have also joined the Association, being either full or associated members or candidates.Due to the different national implementation of the EU directives, some core infrastructure management related functions
are not executed within the Infrastructure companies. Therefore to provide customers with the complete range of products and services, in RailNetEurope are also included the companies which cover important infrastructure functions, such as timetabling. To do this, the statutes of RailNetEurope foresee the special membership status of "Associated Member" who have no voting rights.
